We find ourselves in an ever-changing world where the jobs of today may no longer be necessary and the careers of our children are yet to be invented. In such uncertainty, it is important not to lose sight of community. Community means commonwealth, it connotes solidarity, commonality and togetherness. Community is what helps to form the individual while maintaining unity. With that said, why wouldn’t the world want a proactive and united body whose aim is to flourish and succeed together; to promote good character and citizenry? This is the vision of AHIE. It is to foster solidarity and encourage growth and achievement; to Aim Higher and reach for better while keeping oneself well grounded by not loosing sight of where one comes from as journeys are undertaken.
​The goal of AHIE schools and programs is to nurture character that sets the groundwork for accomplishment in learners and their teachers. AHIE’s aspirations are ambitious, but feasible. AHIE’s design is to support historically marginalized communities, to reach out to economically depressed environments, and to encourage the growth and development of students whose performance does not reflect their potential. Communities and society as a whole benefits from formulating a milieu in which this group of learners can thrive.
AHIE is a registered 501(c)(3) created for the sole purpose of providing exceptional educational services to its students. AHIE values community involvement and multicultural education, something reflected in our curriculum.​
